Fun with Grammy (Vol. 1) Enjoy time with your child while helping to develop language skills, number concepts, self-awareness, and the sharing concept

 

Created by early childhood education specialist Charlene Lockner, (she's really a grandma, too) this audio CD provides the perfect venue for an adult to interact educationally with a child.  Even if the adult is not familiar or comfortable with dealing with young children, "Grammy" sets the stage and expertly directs each activity.  By just following along "Grammy" will have the child both laughing and learning.

The CD includes a collection of nursery rhymes, finger plays, and poems.  Each of the twenty-four tracks is designed to accomplish a specific learning objective.  All tracks are appropriate for ages six months to four years.  As the child develops, he or she gains additional skills by continued use of the program. For example, very young children gain valuable language skills from each track.  As the child continues to use the program, the numbers are no longer just words, but begin to have meaning as numerical concepts.  Poems about self-awareness and sharing begin to have conceptual meaning instead of just being fun to hear.
